Just for a moment, it was as if the sea was ours.
“Everyone be silent,” I said gently.
We all stopped, our breath held as a blustery breeze careered through the gorse and brambles—warm and alive…
A Moment with the Sea
For a moment
it was ours
and all else
ceased.
For a moment
it was clear
that this
is what is real.
And all the ways we dance and prance, chasing life, pushing to advance.
And all the noise, the rush, the hustle
becomes a mere attachment, throbbing like an aching muscle.
For what is real is here.
Never.so.clear.
And, for a moment,
it was ours.
