Alice I just listened to you reading the poem with the written word alongside and it was beautiful. I can imagine although a year has passed that you still miss your best friend. It was lovely. I found the grief of losing an animal difficult to bear and eventually decided to live without my lovely cats. Cats are always awarded 2nd place to dogs but to a cat lover they are just as precious. You must still miss Milla.
Dear Sarah, Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm so glad you were touched by these words about my lovely girl, Milla. For me, all animals are in equal first (I grew up with both cats and dogs 😍) and any loss is difficult...they're just such a part of the family, aren't they. I can well understand your decision to not go through it again—it's the price we pay for their companionship, my mum used to say. Thank you for listening/reading along. I'm glad to feel your heartfelt compassion through this screen. 🙏🏻🧡🍂
I just love this poem.... so beautiful and a lovely piece of writing to always remember our dear Milla by. 🫶🏻 Such lovely photos too, I miss her always Xx
Thank you so much for your appreciation, it means a lot. I hope these words will bring a sense of ease to anyone grieving. By the way, it was so lovely to see your name pop up! Periodically I've checked in on your blog and had been wondering where life had taken you... imagine my joy to see I now have several posts to catch up with.🧡
Beautiful <3 She was such a beautiful soul. I like to think they leave little tendrils of love and wisdom behind for us to hold on to and tie to the next person or being that needs us. So we're all tied and weaved together <3
Leaving "little tendrils of love and wisdom" — this is such a beautiful thought. My heart slowed for a moment reading it. The idea that we'll all be tied and woven together over time is truly comforting. Thank you, Lucy! AND it's so lovely to hear from you again. I do hope you'll begin blogging here...? I miss the days of heartfelt comment connections. I hope you're well and enjoying life. Do keep in touch! 💕🙏🏻

And we were (are) well loved by her. Thank goodness for our four-legged friends. I know you understand, dear Meg! 💕🙏🏻
